CHENA PAYASAM

Ingredients used in CHENA PAYASAM
• Green bengal gram - 1/2 cup.
• Ghee - 2 tablespoons.
• Cashew nuts - 10 numbers.
• Raisins - 10 numbers.
• Chironji - 10 numbers.
• Pressed rice - 1/2 cup.
• Milk - 1 cup.
• Cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Jaggery - 1/2 cup.
• Sugar - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Soak green Bengal gram overnight and boil it.
  • Heat ghee in a pan and add cashew nuts, raisins, Chironji, saute it and add pressed rice, boiled green Bengal gram saute it for a minute
  • Then add milk, cardamom powder, boil it till the poha is soft.
  • After 5 minutes add jaggery, sugar, cook it for 2 minutes, in a slow flame. Serve hot.
