Ingredients used in Dal Shorbha
• Oil - as required.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Mint leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Carrot (chopped) - 1 number.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Boiled moong dal - 1 cup.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 8 cloves.
• Boiled rice - 1 cup.
• Brown onion - 1 number.
• Pepper powder - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, mint leaves, coriander leaves, carrots, tomatoes, saute well, add boiled moong dal, cook till veggies turn tender enough, strain it and keep aside.
  • Nowadd some oil to the same pan, heat it, add cumin seeds, garlic, strained dal soup, bring to boil, add coriander leaves, few grains of boiled rice, salt, brown onions, pepper powder, mix well and cook it.

Hot and delicious Dal Shorbhais now ready to serve.
