DRUMSTICK LEAVES SAMBAR OR SAMBAR WITH GREENS-1

Ingredients used in DRUMSTICK LEAVES SAMBAR OR SAMBAR WITH GREENS-1
• Drumstick leaves (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Toor dal/pigeon pea - 1/2 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chilies - 3 number.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Onions (chopped) - 2 number.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Hing - 1 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Coconut pieces (chopped ) - 1/2 cup.
Method:
Boil the toor daal and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, red chilies, fenugreek seeds, onions, curry leaves, onions, turmeric powder, salt, hing and sauté it. Add coconut pieces, tamarind juice, sambhar powder along with water, close the lid of the pan and once it comes to boil, remove the lid. Then add boiled dal, drumstick leaves, sugar and cook for some time then switch off the flame. Drumstick leaves sambar is ready to serve.
