Ingredients used in Guava Pickle
• Guava (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Peanut oil - as required.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Hing - pinch.
• Tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup.
• Green chilies ( chopped ) - 3 number.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Lemon ( chopped ) - 1 number.
Method:
  • Dry roast mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds for about 1 to 2 minutes and grind to a fine powder.
  • Heat peanut oil in a pan, add dry red chilies, curry leaves, hing, chopped guava pieces and toss it.
  • Nowadd tamarind pulp, slited green chilies, chopped lemon piecesand let it cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Then add sugar, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder and cook for some more time.
  • Finally add the prepared powder and cook for about 3 minutes.

Tasty and delicious Guava Pickle is now ready to serve.
