Ingredients used in Kheema Carrot Biryani
• Oil - as required.
• Cloves - 2 number.
• Cardamom - 2 number.
• Maize - 1 number.
• Star anise - 1 number.
• Bay leaf - 1 number.
• Biryani flower - 1 number.
• Caraway seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon stick - small.
• Carrots (chopped) - 5 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Mutton khemma - 1 cup.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ghee - 2 tablespoons.
• Mint leaves - 1/2 cup.
• Green chilies - 4 number.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Curd - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Basmathi rice - 1 cup.
• Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons.
• Onion (chopped) - 0.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add whole garam masala spices, chopped onions, carrot pieces, sprinkle salt, toss well, add mutton kheema and saute tillkheema turns tender enough.
  • Now add red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, toss it and turn off the flame.
  • Take ghee in another pan, heat it, add mint leaves, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, salt, curd, hot water, bring it to boil, add basmati rice and cook with closed lid for about 15 minutes.
  • Now transfer the prepared carrot kheema mixture to the cooking pan, add lemon juice, toss it, cook for about 5 minutes, turn off the flame and transfer to serving bowl.

Delicious Kheema Carrot Biryani is now ready to serve with raitha of your choice.
