Ingredients used in ALOO BIRYANI
• Potato - 2-3 numbers.
• Oil - to fry.
• Ghee - 2 teaspoons.
• Bay leaves - 1 number.
• Cardamon - 2 numbers.
• Phool - 2 grams.
• Black cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon - 1 stick.
• Cloves - 2 numbers.
• Green chillies - 5 numbers.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Mint leaves - 1/4 bunch.
• Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Yogurt - 1 cup.
• Green chili paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Basmati rice - 1 cup.
• Corn flour - 1 tablespoon.
• All purpose flour - 1-1/2 tablespoon.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 4 springs.
• Lime juice - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Remove peel of potato and cut into small cubes and par boil it until it is 80% cooked.
  • Heat ghee with 2 tablespoon oil and add bay leaves, cardamoms, phool, black cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves and saute it.
  • To it add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, mint leaves, garam masala, coriander powder, yogurt, green chili paste, little salt and saute it, later cook it until yogurt becomes thick mixture.
  • Add water and check for seasoning.
  • To it add basmati rice and mix it, place lid cook it.
  • Take a bowl and add corn flour, all purpose flour, ginger, garlic, red chili powder, curry leaves, salt, slit green chilies,water and mix nicely.
  • To it add potato and mix nicely until mixture coats to potato pieces.
  • Heat oil and deep fry the potato pieces and transfer into paper towel.
  • In the same oil fry curry leaves and transfer into same paper towel.
  • Once the rice is cooked top it with fried potato 65 pieces, curry leaves, lime juice.

Now aloo biryani is ready to serve with raitha.

Hi, after seeing your aloo biryani, i tried yours by using coconut milk instead of curd. It was very nice because you will get nice coconut aroma when you use thick coconut milk.?
