Ingredients used in Onion Pakoda
• Onion - 1 cup.
• Gram flour besan - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger finely sliced - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - as required.
• Green chillies - 2 no.
• Baking powder - half tea spoon.
• Oil or butter(for tempering) - 2 tablespoon.
• Rice flour - 1/4 cup.
• Cashew nuts (crushed/sliced) - 5 no.
• Jeera - half tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Take a bowl, add very thin sliced onions, green chillies, ginger sliced, curry leaves, if you want to add cashewnuts soak in water for 10min and then add it to the onions, add salt and mix well.
  • In another bowl add basen, rice flour, salt, jeera, baking powder, oil, now add the onion mixture.
  • Mix well if need sprinkle water and mix well again. Heat oil and deep fry till it is golden brown.
