Ingredients used in ORANGE CHICKEN
• Chicken(boneless medium size) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• White pepper powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Orange juice - 1 cup.
• Orange zest - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Soya sauce - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Corn flour - 1 tea spoon.
• Spring onions(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
• Red chili paste - 1/4 tea spoon.
Method:
  • In a bowl and add chicken, salt, white pepper powder and mix thoroughly then marinate it for 2 hours.
  • Take a bowl and add orange juice, orange zest, sugar, a little salt, soya sauce, vinegar and mix well, check for seasoning.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger saute it and add chicken, let cook it for 10 minutes.
  • Add prepared orange slurry, red chilly paste and mix thoroughly.
  • Add corn flour mixed in1/2 cup water cook it.
  • At last add spring onions cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Now the orange chicken is ready to serve with chinese fried rice.
