Ingredients used in Handwa
• Chikpea dal - 1 pinch.
• Mustard seed - 1 tea spoon.
• Hing - 1 pinch.
• Green chillis - 7-8 no.
• Ginger chopped - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic - 7-8 clove.
• Cumin seed - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter milk/yogurt - 1 cup.
• Lentil dal - half cup.
• Turmeric powder - half cup.
• Rice soaked - 1 cup.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Water - as required.
• Til - 2 teaspoons.
Method:
  • Soak rice, dal in water for whole night. Grind rice, dal with finely chopped green chilies, ginger, garlic, and cumin seeds.
  • Then add dahi along with water to make a fine paste of above all mixtures. Keep aside for 5-6 hour.
  • In a pan heat oil add mustard seeds ,turmeric powder,hing, curry leaves.
  • Spread it over above rice dal mixture. Add salt, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Heat non steak pan ,spread some oil. Take some mixture. Spread into a thick circle. Cook on both sides with closed lid, till brown.

Serve hot with chutney.
