Ingredients used in Hulli Anna (Tamarind Rice with Jeera,methi)
• Rice - 2 cup.
• Onions - 3-4 numbers.
• Garlic - 7-8 clove.
• Mustard - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilli (small one) - 6-7 numbers.
• Channa dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Groundnut - 1 tablespoon.
• Tamarind (lemon size) - small.
• Jeera - 1 1/2 tablespoons.
• Methi seeds - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Jaggery (size of a marble) - as required.
• Tumeric - 1 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:

First dry roast Jeera and Methi .Powder them and keep it aside. Coarsely powder dry roasted sesame seeds. Cook rice and keep aside. In a pan add oil,mustard, Channa Dal, Groundnut, Red chilli, crushed Garlic ,Onion and fry them until it is done. Then add tamarind juice, jaggery, turmeric, salt and allow it to become a bit thick. Then add Jeera and methi powder to it. Bring it to a consistency that is good enough to mix with rice. At last add the coarsely grounded sesame seeds. Then mix it to rice.
