Ingredients used in PULI AVAL
• Flattened rice-thick poha - 2 cup.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Ground nuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Chana dal - 1 teaspoons.
• Urad dal - 1 teaspoons.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Dry red chillies - 2 numbers.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Jaggery - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 tablespoons.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
• Salt - 0 to taste.
Method:

1. Take a bowl and add poha, tamarind juice and soak it. 2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, ground nuts, chana dal, urad dal, asafoetida, dry red chillies, green chillies, turmeric powder, curry leaves, salt and saute it. 3. Then add jaggery and mix thoroughly and add soaked poha, little water and place the lid on it and cook it for 1 min. 4. Take another pan and add sesame seeds and crush to make the nice coarse powder. 5. Then add this powder to the cooked poha mixture and mix thoroughly and switch of the flame. 6. Then garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
