Ingredients used in Sprouts Cutlet (Vadalu)
• Mixed sprouts - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cashew nuts (chopped) - 6 number.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Chopped green chilies - 2 numbers.
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Blend mixed sprouts to a coarse paste by adding salt (to taste) and transfer to a bowl.
  • Add chopped green chilies, red chili powder, chopped cashew nuts, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, chopped coriander leaves to the same bowl and mix well.
  • Now, shape the mixture into vadas and deep fry in hot oil.

Another variation:

  • Mould the mixture into desired shapes and shallow fry till they turn slightly golden brown in color.

Delicious Sprouts Cutlet is now ready to serve.
