Description
This is a very tasty upma made in Andhra Pradesh and very easy to prepare.

Ingredients of Tomato Bath with Semolina or Sooji or BombaiRavva

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Oil  5 Tablespoons
Water  3 Glasses Large
Green Chillis  6 Piece
Green Peas(Soaked and Cooked)  1/2 Cup
Potato  1 Small
Brinjal or EggPlant  1/2 Cup
Tomatoes  1 Big
Onions  1 Big
Semolina Or Sooji  1 big Glass or 250 gms Grams
Ghee  2 Tablespoons
Cashewnuts  4 Tablespoons
Coriander Leaves or Cilantro  1/2 Cup
Garam Masala (Optional)  1/2 Teaspoons
Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds, Urad dal, Chana dal and Red Chillis for Tampering  


Directions
First keep a thick bottom pan on the stove and add the oil and put mustard seeds,cumin seeds,urad dal, chana dal red chillis and cashewnuts for Tampering. After they get fried add chopped onions and green chillis, saute for 2 minutes then add chopped tomatoes,brinjal and potatoes. Saute them for 5 minutes then add soaked and cooked green peas(NOT frozen) and water. When water starts boiling, add the sooji or semolina and keep stirring continuously till it cooked. Then switchoff the stove and add coriander leaves and ghee the tomato bath. Serve hot with any chutney or sauce.
