Recipe of Green Chilli Chutney

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
Hing pinch
Urad Dal 1 Teaspoons
Channa Dal 1 Teaspoons
Red Chill 3 Numbers
Murstard 1 Teaspoons
Garlic 15 Numbers
Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
Coconut 1 Numbers
Oil 1/2 Cup
Tamarind 100 Grams
Green Chillies 250 Grams
Curry Leaves 1 Springs

Directions

  1. Take a pan add oil. cumin seeds,garlic,tamarind,chillies, cook for 5 min then add coconut grated or cuts into cubes.
  2. Cook till chillies changes its colour or tender, Then blend in a blender.In a pan add oil, red chilli dry,cumin seeds,mustard,channa dal,urad dal, garlic,hing,curry leaves mix well.
  3. Add this tempering to the pickle.

This starts as chutney and ends as pickle.It it chutney or pickle?

The main ingredients for this green chilli chutney is coconut not green chilli. I read this recipe and my suggestion is that the name of this should be THENGAI THUVAIAL instead of green chilli chutney
