Ingredients used in Murgh cholay
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Chick peas/garbanzo beans - 2 cup.
• Onions (chopped) - 1 numbers.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Green chillies (slited) - 2 numbers.
• Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Ginger paste - 1 teaspoons.
• Garlic paste - 1 teaspoons.
• Cooking oil - 3 teaspoons.
Method:
  • In a pot, fry half of the total choppedonion in oil until golden brown.
  • To it, even add garlic, ginger, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder and fry for a minute or so.
  • Then add chicken and chopped tomatoes along with some water, and cook this with closed lid on medium heat.
  • When the meat is tender, add the chickpeas and again let it cook for 3-4 more minutes. Later mash the chick peas slightly to create a gravy.
  • In the same pan, add garam masala , green chillies, coriander leaves on top. Fry the remainder of the onions in a little oil until crispy and brown and add the onions with fried oil to the chicken and chick peas.
  • DeliciousMurgh cholayis now ready to serve.
