Best snack in the evenings and can be used with dosa batter.

Ingredients of punugulu

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
salt to taste  
chopped onions  2 Numbers
chillies  5 to 6 Numbers
cumin seeds  2 Tablespoons
urad dal  2 Cup
rice  1 Cup
oil to fry  


Soak the rice and urad dal for about 6hrs and then grind it.Let it ferment for 10 to 12hrs( but make the batter in thick consistency).Add onions,green chillies,salt and cumin seeds and add water if necessary.Boil the oil in a pan and fry them by dropping it like pakoras.
