Ingredients used in Talikala Paayasam
• Rice flour - 1 tea spoon.
• Almonds (chopped) - 10 grams.
• Fennel seeds (crushed) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cashew nuts (chopped) - 10 grams.
• Jaggery (grated) - 1 cup.
• Whole wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Coconut powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Water - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Take a bowl, add around half cup of jaggery and water, mix it till this is dissolve.
  • Then add whole wheat flour, mix like a dough. Divide the dough into small portions and convert them into noodles shape, keep it aside.
  • Heat water in a pan, add jaggery, crushed fennel seeds. When jaggery dissolves, add hand made noodles.
  • When it comes to a boil, reduce the flame and cook on a slow flame for 10 minutes.
  • Now, fry the cashew nuts and almond in a hot ghee till they turn to light brown in color.
  • In the noodles, add cardamom powder, coconut powder, cashew nuts, and almonds, even add rice flour for thickening and put the lid on for 1 minutes then switch off the flame.
