Published date : January 30, 2019

Ingredients used in Date Wontons
• All purpose flour - 1 cup.
• Corn flour - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - 1 pinch.
• Butter(cubes) - 2 numbers.
• Hot water(as required) - 1/2 cup.
• Dates - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, corn flour, salt and mix it. Add butter and mix nicely using slightly hot water to make the slightly stiff dough.
  • Remove seeds from dates and chop it and keep aside.
  • In a pan, add sugar, dates and cook for 5minutes until sugar dissolves by adding little butter, water so date becomes slightly soft.
  • Dust some flour and roll the dough into a sheet and cut into small round shape roundels using the cutter.
  • Place little date mixture in centre and apply water and close the edges in semicircle shape, later apply water to edges and seal it to wontons shape like as shown in the video and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry until crispy, golden in colour and transfer to a plate.
  • Now, dates wontons are ready to serve.
