Description: It is a paste of taro root and shredded coconut. People usually have this as a side along with rice or chappati.
Recipe of taro root chutney
|Mustard Oil||1/2 tsp||To Taste|
|Shredded Coconut (fresh)||2||Tablespoons|
In a blender add the peeled raw taro root, fresh shredded coconut, green chillies, mustard seeds, salt and sugar, and cilantro. Blend into a paste adding little amount of water. The consistency should neither be too thick nor too thin, it should be as if you can make a lump out of it; almost like idli chutneys. Now pour the mixture in a bowl and add a little bit of mustard oil according to taste. Mix it well with a spoon. The dish is ready to eat....Enjoy!!!!! I have tasted the dish in one of my friends home in Kolkata.
