Ingredients used in VALA CHI BIRDA
• Freshly ground coconut paste - 1 tablespoon.
• Goda masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Hing/asafoetida - pinch.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2-3 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Field beans/dalimbi/ kadwe vaal/ surti vaal - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Sugar - pinch.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
Method:
  • Add oil in hot pan and add mustard seeds, when they start to crackle, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, and chopped green chillies.
  • Now reduce the flame and add a pinch of hing, turmeric, red chili powder, goda masala and freshly ground coconut paste. Cook these masala adding little water, salt to taste, pinch of sugar and bring this to a boil.
  • Add the boiled vaal beans or field beans and allow boiling for few minutes and switch off the flame.
  • Top it off with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve.

Please slow down your show again. Your latest videos are much shorter and faster. It's much harder to follow your recipes now! You are too fast. Why? I think we all loved your old style: showing exactly what to do and not having to stop the video
