Recipe of Veg Puffs

Ingredient Name Quantity Unit
salt - to taste  1
Optional - broken cashews  8-10 Numbers
garam masala  half Teaspoons
green chilli  3-4 Numbers
jeera  1 Teaspoons
peas  half Cup
Pepperidge Farms pastry sheets  1 Numbers
Potatoes  4 Numbers
oil  4 Teaspoons
garlic - finely chopped  1-2 Clove
ginger - finely chopped  1 Teaspoons
Turmeric  quater Teaspoons

Directions
To make veg puff/pastry/patties buy Pepperidge Farms pastry sheets from regular grocery store like Giants or Safeway. 1: Thaw the pastry sheets according to the instructions on the package. 2: Boil potatoes, peel the skin after boling, mash them coarsely and keep aside 3: In non-stick pan heat oil and add jeera. Let it splutter 3: Add green chillies and green peas. 4: Add little bit salt for the peas, turmeric and let it cook for 1-2 minutes 5: Add garlic and ginger, sautee little bit 6: Add potatoes, salt to taste and let it cook for 4-5 minutes on meduim to slow heat. 7: Add garam masala, mix well and switch off the heat and cool the mixture 8: On flat platform, sprinkle some all-purpose flour and roll out the pastry sheets little bit with rolling pin. 9: Cut the pastry sheets in 6 or 9 rectangle pieces. You can cut in any desired shape. 10: Take small amount of mixture and put it on each rectangle piece. 11: Close the rectangle piece by applying little bit water. 12: Bake the patties in the oven for 30-35 minutes till golden brown.
