Urad Dal 1 Tablespoons
Chana Dal 2 Tablespoons
Mustard Seeds 1 Tablespoons
Cumin Seeds 1 Tablespoons
Red Dried Chillies 2 Numbers
Green Chillies 3 Numbers
Onions 1/3 Cup
Tomatoes 1 Big
Sooji/rava 1 Cup
Salt To Taste
Garlic 1 Clove
Carrots 1 Small
Green Beans 3 Numbers

Directions

1. take a pan and heat it up. add 1 cup of sooji and fry it on a slow flame for 8mts. 2.take another deep pan and add oil. 3. add peanuts fry for 1 minute and add chana dal and urad dal. add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and red dried chillies. 4.add turmeric powder. 5. add onions, green chillies,garlic, carrots, beans and tomatoes. fry them until tomatoes cook. 6.(optional) add 1/3rd tsp of chilli powder. 7. add 2 cups of water and add salt to taste. water should taste salty. 8. let it boil and after that add sooji slowly mix it well while adding sooji so that lumps can not form. 9. sprinkle some coriander leaves. 10.let water get evaporated. 11. this upma goes well with coconut chutney, sambar, tomato pickle
