Ingredients used in Kara chutney
• Curry leaf - 8 leaf.
• Asefotida - 2 pinch.
• Tamarind (about an inch long) - 3 piece.
• Redchilli - 6 numbers.
• Onion - 1/2 small.
• Salt - 1/4 to taste.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
Method:
When i have a really busy day..or i#39;m lazy to cook in the evening ,..By the time it takes for my hubby to change into his pyjamas..from his work clothe,.I make this chutney .And he just loves them..It goes well with Dosai and Idlli.. Not much directions..for this recipe.. just cut the onion and grind them with the other ingredients (exclude the oil) in a small mixer..Add spoons of water while grinding..coz the chutney should not be watery..but thick..after its ground well to a paste...just add the oil and mix it with a spoon...and ur kara chutney is ready...
