Ingredients used in Aviyal
• Grated cocnut - 3-4 tablespoons.
• Jeera - 1 pinch.
• Yogurt - 3-4 tablespoons.
• Red chilli powder - 0.5 teaspoons.
• Turmeric - to taste.
• Drumstick - 1 numbers.
• Green banana,cut long thick slices - 1 numbers.
• Carrots,long slightly thick slices - 3 numbers.
• Yam - 1 small.
• Curry leaves - 4-5 leaf.
• Garlic - 1 clove.
• Salt - to taste.
• Sugar - 0.5 teaspoons.
• Coconut oil - to taste.
• Curry leaves - 5-6 numbers.
Method:

Cut all the vegetables into thick slices about the size of your little finger. Put this into a pressure cooker with little turmeric and a pinch of red chilli powder. Let it pressure cook for one whistle. and wait Grind yogurt,jeera,coconut,garlic,karipatta with a little water so that it is fairly thick. (must remember that this is a side dish like a bhaji sorts so dont make it super watery). Add the ground paste to the vegetables along with a little salt and sugar. Bring this to a boil. Once the flame is off, put cocnut oil into it and put some raw curry leaves. (this serves as the garnish to this recipe). Serve with rice,sambhar :) The image posted below is on e got from a website.
