Ingredients used in beetroot biryani
• Chilli powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Masala - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Coconut powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Onion---sliced - 1 large.
• Tomato---cut into small pieces - 1 large.
• Yogurt----lightly beaten - 1 cup.
• Cilantro /coriander leaves--finely chopped - 1/2 cup.
• Carrots--peeled and cut into very small pieces - 1/2 cup.
• Frozen green peas - 1/2 cup.
• Potatoes - 1 small.
• Beetroot--peel off the skin and grate the beetroot on to a plate - 2 small.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Ginger/garlic paste - 2 tablespoons.
• Green chilies - 3 .
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Mint leaves - 2 oz.
• Cinnamon sticks - 2 .
• Green cardamom - 3 .
• Cloves - 3 .
• Bay leaves - 3 leaf.
• Water - 5 cup.
• Basmati rice--washed, soaked for 1 hr and drained - 3 cup.
• Lemon-cut into big pieces - 1 large.
Method:

Take a medium saucepan with a tight-fitting lid, Take oil in saucepan,add Cinnamon Sticks, Bay Leaves, Whole Cloves, Green Cardamom,green chilies,onion,mint leaves, fry,stirring,until toasted in the medium heat. Add tomato pieces,cook for 2 minutes and stirring, Add potato pieces,green peas,carrot pieces,beetroot grate,cook for half boiled,stirring,covered until tender in medium heat. add coconut powder,wait for 30 seconds, Add Ginger/Garlic Paste,wait for 30 seconds, sprinkle Turmeric Powder,wait for 30 seconds, Add yogurt wait for 30 seconds, Add red chilli powder and stir, Add soaked rice,stirring and wait for 2 minutes, Add water,add salt,stirring twice,covered with lid until rice boiled, in between medium-high heat. after,bring it into lower heat,sprinkle Coriander Powder,masala,and stir once,covered,and wait for five minutes, sprinkle Coriander Leaves,ready to serve with lemon.
