Ingredients used in Broad Bean Sweet Curry
• Broad beans/field beans (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 number.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Fig (slices) - 1/3 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Jaggery (grated) - 1 cup.
• Tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup.
• Hing - 1 pinch.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds when they splutter, add dry red chilies, cumin seeds, fenugreek, peanuts, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves and saute well.
  • Now add chopped broad beans, figs, tamarindpulp, red chili powder, hing, coriander powder and cook with closed lid for about 7 minutes.
  • Adjust seasoning, add grated jaggery and cooktill the gravy reaches to the desired consistency.

DeliciousBroad Bean Sweet Curry is now ready to serve.
