Ingredients used in Broad Bean Sweet Curry
• Broad beans/field beans (chopped) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry red chilies - 3 number.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 number.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Fig (slices) - 1/3 cup.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Jaggery (grated) - 1 cup.
• Tamarind pulp - 1/2 cup.
• Hing - 1 pinch.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds when they splutter, add dry red chilies, cumin seeds, fenugreek, peanuts, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves and saute well. Now add chopped broad beans, figs, tamarindpulp, red chili powder, hing, coriander powder and cook with closed lid for about 7 minutes. Adjust seasoning, add grated jaggery and cooktill the gravy reaches to the desired consistency. *DeliciousBroad Bean Sweet Curry is now ready to serve.*
