Ingredients used in Carrot Halwa Cake
• Dry fruits (chopped) - as required.
• Carrot (grated) - 1 cup.
• Saffron strands - 3 strands.
• All purpose flour/maida - 1 cup.
• Baking powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - 1 tea spoon.
• Khoya (grated) - 1 cup.
• Sugar (powder) - 1 cup.
• Milk - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Roast chopped dry fruits (i.e., cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio) in 1 teaspoon of oil.
  • To it, add grated carrot, fry by sprinkling few saffron strands. Keep aside.
  • Prepare a mixture of all-purpose flour, baking powder.
  • Now, in carrot mixture, add oil, grated khoya, powder sugar, mix by adding milk.
  • In small intervals, add all-purpose flour, mix then add beaten egg, mix it again.
  • At last, spread this mixture in mould and bake it at 120-degree centigrade for 25 minutes.
