Ingredients used in Chicken qoram
• Chicken (cut in pieces) - 2000 grams.
• Onion - 1000 grams.
• Green chillies - 50 grams.
• Fresh chopped cilantro - 1 bunch.
• Fresh chopped mint leaves - 1 bunch.
• Shredded coconut - 100 grams.
• Red chilli powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 2 teaspoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger paste (pisi adrak) - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Plain yogurt - 500 grams.
• Water - 1 cup.
• Cooking oil - 300 grams.
Method:
  1. Fry the onions in oil until they are golden brown.
  2. Marinate the chicken pieces for 10 minutes in salt(2 teaspoons), turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, ginger paste and garlic paste.
  3. Add the marinated chicken pieces when the onion is fried.
  4. After 10 minutes add the plain yogurt and a cup of water and stir well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Then add shredded coconut, red chilli powder, coriander/cilantro leaves and mint leaves.
  6. Cover and let it to cook for another 15 minutes or until done.

Serve hot.
