Ingredients used in Chili Paneer Curry
• Paneer (cubes) - 100 grams.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Bay leaf - 2 number.
• Cardamom - 3 number.
• Cashew nuts - 5 number.
• Badam / almonds (chopped) - 3 number.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 2 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Garlic cloves - 4 number.
• Ginger (slices) - 1 tea spoon.
• Mint leaves - 1 bunch.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter (cubes) - 3 number.
• Green chilies (roundels) - 2 number.
• Onion (cubes) - 1 number.
• Water - as required.
• Oil - as required.
• Kasoori methi - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cashew nuts, almonds, chopped onions, green chilies, salt and saute till onions turn transparent.
  • Then add garlic cloves, slices of ginger, mint leaves, chopped coriander leaves, tomatoes, turmeric powder, cook it, transfer to a blender, grind to a fine pasteand keep aside.
  • In a pan, add butter, big roundels of green chilies, onion cubes, fry it and transfer to a plate.
  • In the same pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom, saute it, transfer the prepared paste along with water and cook for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add crushed kasoori methi, paneer cubes, already fried onions and chilies to the above pan, cook it by stirring occasionally till gravy thickens.

Delicious Chili Paneer Curry is now ready to serve with hot rice.
