Easy Chicken Curry with Onion Tomato Gravy

Ingredients used in Easy Chicken Curry with Onion Tomato Gravy
• Garam masala powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chicken - 500 grams.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 150 grams.
• Onions (chopped) - 150 grams.
• Poppy seeds and cashew nuts paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Mint leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onions, salt, saute it and add ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, turmeric, chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, mix this and put the lid on and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes in a slow flame (6 to 7 whistles).
  • In a pan add onion tomato gravy, poppy seeds and cashew nuts paste, add water mix this and add chicken pieces, put the lid on and let it cook for 15 minutes.
  • Then add garam masala powder, chopped coriander, and mint leaves, mix it well and serve this hot with rice or chapathi.
