Ingredients used in fried dal
• Redchilli powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Redchillies - 4 numbers.
• Curryleaves - 5 leaf.
• Coriander leaves - to taste.
• Onions - 1 numbers.
• Cuminseeds - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Mustardseeds - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Garlic - 5 clove.
• Toor dal - 1 cup.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - 3 tablespoons.
chop onions in to cubes and keep aside. clean toor dal and keep aside. take a pressure pan and heat oil.... add garlic and fry until light golden brown. add mustard seeds,cumin seedsand fry,add onions and fry until transparent.... add curry leaves,redchillies, corriander leaves,turmeric powder,redchillipowder,cook well not to burn any ingredient, add toor dal n fry well...... add two cups of water and close lid and get three whistles, reduce the flame in to medium and get two more whistles....... turn off the stove and let the pressure go. once it is done, open the lid and add salt and mash the dal gently with spoon so that dal becomes smooth. donot blend or mash too much, other ingredients must be visible.
