Ingredients used in gothambu (haleem wheat) payasam
• Cardamom powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Sugar/jaggery - 1 1/2 cup.
• Coconut milk - 1 can.
• Milk - 6 cup.
• Haleem wheat - 1 cup.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
Method:
Pressure cook the wheat with about enough milk to cover and the cloves.One whistle should be enough. Add rest of the milk, jaggery or sugar and continue cooking until the milk comes to a rolling boil. Now add the coconut milk and the cardamom powder and simmer for a few minutes. If needed more milk or sugar can be added. This actually tastes better the next day chilled.
