Ingredients used in Gulaab Jaamun
• Milk powder - 2 cups.
• All-purpose flour (maida) - 1 tea spoon.
• Cooking oil - 1 to fry.
• Baking powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Cardamom pods - 5 numbers.
• Semolina (sooji) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Egg - 1 number.
• Sugar - 2 cups.
• Rose water essence (kewra) - 2 drops.
• Water - 2 cups.
Method:
  • In a pot dissolve sugar in water over medium heat to make a syrup. Add the cardamom seeds and cook to a boil. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Mix together the rest of the ingredients into a dough and make into small balls and deep fry until brown. Add to the syrup.

Chef Sanjay this is the first recipe by you that has disappointed me tremendously. The process given is missing out on all the finer details of making gulab jamuns, for instance the temperature required to fry the jamuns - which is key to making gr
