Ingredients used in Hara Murg Pulao
• Cumin seeds - 2 tablespoons.
• Garlic - 5 clove.
• Small ginger - 1 piece.
• Jalapeno chillies - 1 big.
• Cilantro - 1 bunch.
• Coconut milk - 1/2 cup.
• Desiccated coconut - 3/4 cup.
• Chicken breast (bite size pieces) - 4 pound.
• Basmati rice - 2 cup.
• Chopped onions - 1 large.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Salt - 1 to taste.
Method:
1) Heat oil in cooking pan 2) Once oil is heated, add cumin seeds 3) Add finely chopped onions once cumin seeds start cracking 4) Add chicken breast pieces and salt and cook till chicken changes color (is fully cooked) 5) In a mixer, add cilantro, chillies, ginger, garlic, desiccated coconut and water to make a paste 6) Add this paste to the cooked chicken and saute for 2 minutes 7) Add soaked basmati rice (soaked in water for 30 minutes) and saute for a minute 8) Add 1 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup coconut milk 9) Add salt if needed and mix gently 10) Cover and cook on low flame till rice is done 11) Fluff the rice using a fork 12) Serve hot
