HOME MADE CHRISTMAS COOKIES

Ingredients used in HOME MADE CHRISTMAS COOKIES
• All purpose flour - 1 cup.
• Semolina sooji - 1 tablespoon.
• Sugar(or powdered sugar) - 1 cup.
• Vanilla essence - 1 tea spoon.
• Butter (unsalted) - 1 tablespoon.
• Egg - 1 number.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Take all purpose flour in a bowl then add semolina sooji, sugar or powdered sugar, unsalted butter and mix it.
  • Also add vanilla essence, egg and make into a nice dough without adding any water.
  • With the dough now roll it into a big roti and cut into different shapes of diamond, star, heart shape with the aluminium moulds you have.
  • With the excess or left over dough again roll it and cut into different shapes.
  • Deep fry them in oil but the oil should not be too hot otherwise they will burn and will not cook.
  • When they turn little golden in color take them on tissue paper.

Hi .. just. Wanted to know if we can make al these snacks with whole wheat flour instead of maida!! Wil it turn out good too?? My lil one is badly allergic to maida.. Pls reply so that I Cn try this out ..?

I make these type by using wheat flour instead of maida and I don't fry them but cook on tava on very slow flame till done on both sides?

today I made them by ur method they came out very nice and crispy but I took only 100 gms of sugar and also added 1 teaspoon of cream to it as the material was dry and dough was hard to make... thanks for the recipe?
