Ingredients used in INDOORU UNDALA PULUSU
• Bengal gram - 1 cup.
• Red gram - 1 cup.
• Coconut - 1 number.
• Tomatoes - 2 numbers.
• Green chillies - 4 numbers.
• Onions - 2 numbers.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Tamarind paste - 10 grams.
• Salt - to taste.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilli powder - 2 teaspoons.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 spring.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Mustard seeds - half tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - half tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chillies - 3 numbers.
Method:
  • Soak bengal gram, red gram before 2 hours.
  • After 2hours grind them by adding green chillies and make a thick paste.
  • In the paste add salt, ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves, grated fresh coconut and mix them all together to make small balls and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, chopped tomatoes and saute them.
  • After that add tamarind paste, grated coconut, red chilli powder, coriander seeds, cumin seeds and salt as required to cook.
  • When this is cooked, add few balls in it.
  • After some time add few more. Lastly add coriander leaves and switch off the flame.

This tastes superb if we eat this with rice, roti, poori, biryani.
