Ingredients used in kalan melagu
• Mushrooms - 500 grams.
• Onions - 100 grams.
• Ginger/garlic paste - 30 grams.
• Tomatoes - 80 grams.
• Turmeric powder - 5 grams.
• Chilli powder - 20 grams.
• Coriander powder - 30 grams.
• Peppercorns - 50 grams.
• Salt - to taste.
• Refined oil - 20 ml.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan add chopped onions and saute, then add ginger /garlic paste. Add chopped tomatoes and cook well then add turmeric coriander and chilli powder. Add blanched mushrooms to the masala and cook well, then add crushed peppercorns, check for salt and finish with chopped coriander leaves.
