Author : Vahchef
Main Ingredient : bitter melon, karela
Servings : 0 persons
Published date : November 18, 2016

Ingredients used in Karela pakodi fry
• Salt - to taste.
• Cumin powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Basen - 1 cup.
• Karela - 4 numbers.
• Red chilli powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
Take fresh thick (big diameter) karelas, and cut them silimar to potato chips but little thick and keep them aside. In a bowl, take Basen, add cumin, red chilli powder, salt and other spices you (like garlic paste). Add necessary water to make a bajji paste. But this basen paste should be thick than bajji paste. Start heating the oil for deep fry. Take each karela slice, dip it in basen paste, take it out and with finger remove most of the basen attached to karela, both sides. That waty, only a very little bit of basen is stuck on each side of the karela chip. Put it in oil and fry. Fry till brown colour and take it out. These are very crispy and doesn#39;t carry the bitterness and is a very good side dish to rice-sambar or its good by itself.
