Ingredients used in Masghati or Halva
• Slivered almonds - 1-2 cup.
• Butter - 50 grams.
• Rose water - 1/2 cup.
• Water - 2 1/2 cup.
• Sugar - 200 grams.
• Wheat starch - 100 grams.
• Cardamom powder - 2 teaspoons.
Method:

In a medium size pan mix wheat starch and water until dissolved. On medium heat keep stirring till mixture gets thick. Then ad rest of ingredients and keep stirring till it gets thicker. When ready transfer into any desired bowl or dish. Let it chill fro 2 hours in refrigerator. You can also use cake mold if you like. Usually this dessert is transferred into a rectangular dish and once it is fully hardened after several hours then it is cut into small squares and garnished with powdered pistachios.
