Ingredients used in METHI BHAJI
• Chick pea flour/besan - 1 cup.
• Asafoetida - pinch.
• Carom seeds/ajwain seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Green chillies(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic(crushed) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cooking soda - pinch.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Garam masala - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Onions(chopped) - 1 number.
• Methi leaves(chopped) - 2 bunch.
• Spring onions - 1/2 bunch.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • In a bowl add chick pea flour, asafoetida, carom seeds, green chillies, ginger, garlic paste, cooking soda, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, onions, methi leaves, spring onions, water and mix thoroughly.
  • Heat oil in a pan and drop in the bajji using hand and deep fry them until golden brown in colour.

Now the hot methi bhaji are ready to serve with tomato sauce.
