Moor or kuzhu Moor Kali is a very traditional and authentic dish prepared with buttermilk and rice flour. It is common in Tamil Brahmin families. It can be prepared in a matter of 10-15 minutes and can be had as a tiffin or snack item.

Ingredients used in MOOR KUZHU
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Buttermilk - 2 cups.
• Lime juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Rice flour - 1/2 cup.
• Red chili - 2 numbers.
• Curd chilies - 5 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tablespoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tablespoon.
• Green chilies(chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Onions - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch.
Method:
  • In a pan add oil, red chili, curd chilies, mustard seeds, chana dal, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, onions and roast it.
  • For slurry take a bowl add buttermilk, lime juice, rice flour, salt then mix it and keep it a side.
  • Now add the slurry to the roasted mixture.
  • Keep on mixing it.
  • Lastly add chopped coriander leaves mix it and switch off the flame.
  • Now serve it in a plate.

Now it is ready to serve.
