Ingredients used in Mutton Papdi
• Mutton - 250 grams.
• Double beans - 60 grams.
• Potatoes - 60 grams.
• Onions - 150 grams.
• Ginger - 5 grams.
• Garlic - 2-3 grams.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chillies - 2 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cloves - 1 number.
• Cinnamon - 1(1/4) numbers.
• Oil - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/8 bunch.
Method:
  • Clean and cut mutton into 2.5 cm. cubes.
  • Peel and dice potatoes. Wash, but keep double beans whole.
  • Put the mutton in to a vessel. Add curry powder and simmer till mutton is tender.
  • Add potatoes and double beans. Simmer till vegetables are cooked and gravy is thick.
  • Remove from fire. Add washed and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Heat oil in a fry pan. Add onions, cloves and cinnamon.
  • When onions start browning add curry. Stir well for 5 minutes.
