Ingredients used in Mutton Piralan
• Cinnamon - 2 numbers.
• Pepper crushed - 2 teaspoons.
• Garam masala - 1 tea spoon.
• Chilly powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Thin coconut pieces mixed with turmeric and salt - 1handfull numbers.
• Crushed garlic - 8-10 numbers.
• Slightly crushed shallots - 8-10 numbers.
• Tomato-chopped - 1 numbers.
• Onion-thinly sliced - 1 numbers.
• Mutton - 2 pound.
• Curry leaves - plenty bunch.
• Ginger (chopped) - 1tbsp tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste to taste.
• Coconut oil - to saute to fry.
• Coconut milk - optional,4 tablespoons.
• Cloves - 2 numbers.
• Cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Marinate mutton with turmeric powder, chilli powder,salt and ginger for 30minutes.
  • Cook in pressure cooker with half a glass water for 2-3whistles till done.
  • Fry coconut pieces in oil till colour changes,add fresh masala pieces ,add onion,crushed shallots and garlic,saute till golden brown.
  • Add in tomatoes and saute. add cooked mutton, garam masala and pepper, salt to taste.cook covered for 5minutes.
  • Open and cook till gravy thickens.add few coconut milk.

Garnish with fried mustard and plenty of fried curry leaves.
