Ingredients used in Natthala fish Curry
• Natthalu (fish - clean and remove the outer layer) - 250 grams.
• Onions - 1-2 number.
• Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chilies (slitted) - 3 number.
• Curry leaves - 3 springs.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Grill onions on griller till the color of the outer layer turns blackish, remove the outer layer and grind to a fine paste.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, onion paste and saute it for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Thenadd salt, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder and cook well by stirring occasionally.
  • In the same pan, add tamarind juice and cook it till raw flavor are gone.
  • At last, add fish pieces along with chopped coriander leaves and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

DeliciousNatthala fish Curry is now ready to serve.
