Ingredients used in Papaya Shahi Gravy
• Papaya ( chopped ) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Water - as required.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomato puree - 1 cup.
• Curd - 1 cup.
• Water - as required.
• Kasuri methi - 1 tea spoon.
• Fresh cream - half cup.
• Honey - 2 teaspoons.
• Coriander leaves ( chopped ) - 1 bunch.
Method:
Take chopped papaya in a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of oil, turmeric powder, salt (to taste) and roast it on pulka tawa and transfer to a bowl. Roast cashew nuts in the same pan then add chopped onion, salt (to taste) and grind to a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan, add turmeric powder, chili powder, little water and mix it well. Then add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, tomato puree and cook it for about 3 minutes. Add curd, papaya pieces along with water and let it cook with closed lid. At last, season it with kasuri methi, fresh cream, honey, chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
