Ingredients used in Peanut Toast
• Ginger,minced fine - half tea spoon.
• Peanuts crushed coarse - half cup.
• Green chillies (chopped) - 2-3 numbers.
• Onion cut finely - 1 number.
• Bread slices - 3 number.
• Besan - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Mix finely chopped onions, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, salt, coarsely ground peanuts together.
  • Add besan to this mixture and mix well.Add little water just to bind the mixture together. The consistency should be just right for spreading a semi thick layer on the bread slices.
  • Take the bread slices, and cut them into triangles. The pieces should be 2-3 days old.Else it wud absorb too much oil when fried(If bread is fresh).
  • Now take a triangle slice and spread a thick layer of the besan mixture on top.
  • Meanwhile heat oil in a kadai. When it is hot add the bread slices and fry.Add the slices in such a way that the pakora mix is on top.
  • Do not heat the oil too much,as it can turn the bread slices golden fat leaving the peanut mix uncooked.
  • Turn the bread slice gently and cook the pakoda part.

When theturn golden brown, remove and serve with ketchup.
