Ingredients used in Pepper Chicken
• Cinnamon stick (1 inch) - 2 number.
• Pepper powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Chicken - 1000 grams.
• Pods garlic - 5 numbers.
• Ginger small piece - 1 number.
• Green chillies - 6 numbers.
• Capsicum/bell peppers (cut into long) - piece.
• Onion (cut into small) - piece.
• Salt - to taste.
• Cloves/lavang - 4 number.
• Bay leaves - 1 number.
• Water - as required.
• Coriander leaves/cliantro (chopped) - 1 bunch.
Method:
  • Slightly crush the bay leaf, cloves, cinnamon stick and keep aside.

  • Heat oil, add (cinnamon, clove, bay leaves) crushed powder. Saute the onions in oil.

  • Make a paste out of the green chillies, garlic and ginger and add the paste to the sauteed onions, fry well.

  • Then add chicken pieces and fry well in the masala.

  • Add very little water and cook the chicken well.

  • When there is just a little water, add the pepper and mix well.

  • Now add the capsicum in the chicken and fry well.

  • Please note, most of the water should be absorbed when capsicum is added since capsicum will leave the water.Also, it should not be overcooked also.

  • Fry well and garnish with cilantro.

i love all your recipes. i have a small request. it is hard to measure ingredients in grams and mls. it would be great if you could give them in cups, tsp, tbsp. it would be lot easier for people like us in america. it is big task to convert them
