Ingredients used in Pitlah
• Oil for seasoning. - .
• Salt - to taste.
• Dry red chillies - 4 numbers.
• Besan - 2 tablespoons.
• Water - 2 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Chana dal - 1 tablespoons.
• Peanuts - 1 tablespoons.
• Roasted garlic powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Cumin - 1 teaspoons.
• Green chilli - 6 numbers.
• Minced curry leaves - 10 leaf.
• Mirchi powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Tumeric powder - 1/4 teaspoons.
Method:

Coarsly grind green chillies , jeera and roasted garliic powder(if you do not have this you can use 3 raw garlic pods). MIx besan to 1/2 cup water (make sure the paste is soft ). Heat a sauce pan then add oil about 1 tablespoon then add mustard seeds + peanuts + chana dal + red chillies . Add turmeric , mirchi powder ,salt and 1 and 1/2 cups of water and let it boil.Once it comes to boiling point stop the heater and add besan paste to the boiling water then turn on the stove again and cook it on low flame until it thickens. Turn off the stove and serve it with hot puri , roti or dosa.
