Ingredients used in DRUMSTICK CORN AND DAL PORIYAL
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Toor dal - 1/4 cup.
• Sweet corn - 1 cup.
• Drumstick leaves - 1-1/2 cup.
• Dry red chillies - 2 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Fresh coconut(grated) - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
Heat oil in a pan and add toor dal and saute it for 1 minute, later add water cook until it is 75% done with lid on it. Add sweet corn, drumstick leaves and mix and cook it for 2 minutes with lid on it. Heat oil in another pan and add dry red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and saute it. To it add drumstick leaves dal mixture, fresh grated coconut, salt and mix nicely. Now drumstick corn dal poriyal is ready to serve.
