Ingredients used in SWEET POTATO BOORELU
• Sweet potato - 4-6 numbers.
• Jaggery - 1 cup.
• Cardamom powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coconut (grated) - 1 tablespoon.
• All purpose flour - 1 cup.
• Wheat flour - 3 teaspoons.
• Salt - 1 pinch.
• Cooking soda - 1 pinch.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
Boil sweet potato and peel skin and grate it. Heat pan, add jaggery, 1 cup grated sweet potato, cardamom powder and mix it. Once jaggery dissolves add coconut and switch off the flame. Mix nicely and allow it cool down. Take small dumpling of the mixture and make round balls. Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, wheat flour, salt, soda and mix nicely using water to make a thick bajji batter consistency. Coat the sweet potato balls and deep fry in hot oil. Transfer to a paper towel. Now sweet potato boorelu are ready to serve.
